If your data is lost, we recommend you turn the computer off and take the hard drive out.

You can then ship the hard drive to us. If possible put it in an anti static bag... Please use a a box that has enough room for both the media and some type of packing material that doesn't allow for ANY movement. The box should also have sufficient barrier room around the inside edges to absorb impact during shipping.
If you send multiple drives or media, please make sure they are separated enough with packing material so there will be no contact.

Please note that if you continue using your computer after you have lost data, you will make your data loss situation worse. Data recovery will be more expensive and you might even make recovery impossible if you create new files, write to existing files (even temporary files as the Windows swap file), if you install new programs, start Internet Explorer or start your computer as part of a network...
